As a manufacturer of fashions for children, we know that washability is a major concern for the consumer; therefore, we take special care to provide accurate washing instructions.

Early in the design process, each fabric is washed to determine shrinkage and general washability.

Then later, a finished sample of each style is laundered several times to test all trims as well as the overall integrity of the garment.

This is how we ensure that the washing instructions for every style allow for ease of care, while at the same time keeping the garments looking their best.

Any special laundering requirements are clearly specified in the garment and, if needed, on an extra hangtag.

Basic Washing Instructions

For the majority of our garments our recommendation is:

  1. Machine wash on permanent press in cold water.
  2. Tumble dry with low heat.

Please note that dryers can vary significantly, especially older models, so it is very important to be aware that a machine may run hot even when set on low and this can damage the garment.

Exceptions:

For some specialty fabrics including PLEATHER, FAUX SUEDE, some SILKS and some VELVETS we recommend :

  1. Machine wash on GENTLE or DELICATE in cold water.
  2. Tumble dry with low heat.

FUR, TULLE and some FRAGILE TRIMS (such as silk flowers) should be:

  1. Machine wash on GENTLE or DELICATE in cold water.
  2. Air dry with NO HEAT. (These fabrics may be tumbled dry in those machines that have an "Air Dry" setting.)

FEATHER BOAS can be:

  1. Machine washed.
  2. Air dry only.
